Anesu Fombe has achieved at 22 what others spend decades or lifetime to achieve. Some still hope to get a fraction of what he has achieved to date but here is a young man who is ‘Inspired To Motivate’ and has been doing what he loves the most. Anesu is a very down to earth and determined young man who despite the busy pressures of life he still finds time to write and not just one book but has 6 to date and still counting. I get on a one on one interview with Anesu and below is the conversation we had:

Coach Tinashe: What gives you the motivation to write so much?
Anesu Isaac Fombe: Every time I write I feel like I have the solution to someone whom I do not know yet. Whenever I encounter a problem I usually read books and find solutions to my problems. So I believe that in writing, there lies solutions to many problems people are facing.
Coach Tinashe: What is the greatest hurdle you have been facing in your writing journey and what have you done to overcome it?
Anesu Isaac Fombe: Selling and marketing my products has been my greatest hurdle. People tend not to want your books because they have a price but if claimed free, then everyone wants the book. Currently there is a new system I’m trying to use to sell and market more books at a relatively low cost and I’m hoping it’s going to turn out well and solve this challenge.
Coach Tinashe: How do you balance all these, writing, business, school and work?
Anesu Isaac Fombe: Well this all a matter of proper planning. I wake up early in the morning and sleep very late at night for just about 4 hours. I do my writing usually from 2200hrs to 0000hrs. I wake up at 0430 hours and start with business scheming before preparing for school. I usually work just for about 2 hours in the morning and then I’m off to school. From 1700hrs up to 2000hrs I will be concentrating mostly on my business.
Coach Tinashe: How is the response on your work and book sales?
Anesu Isaac Fombe: Not that quite whelming but with the little progress happening every day. It gives me hope that I’m actually going somewhere. At times I usually sell 3 books per week but that gives me more motivation rather than discouragement that I should push more to reach my monthly targets of 10 to 15 books.
Coach Tinashe: How do you manage school, work, business and writing?
Anesu Isaac Fombe: Well this all a matter of proper planning. I wake up early in the morning and sleep very late at night for just about 4 hours. I do my writing usually from 2200hrs to 0000hrs. I wake up at 0430 hours and start with business scheming before preparing for school. I usually work just for about 2 hours in the morning and then I’m off to school. From 1700hrs up to 2000hrs I will be concentrating mostly on my business.

Coach Tinashe: Creative indeed. Then how have you been able to contain piracy?
Anesu Isaac Fombe: Piracy has proved a bit challenging to solve but as we speak now, there is a system that I’m currently trying to implement and have high hopes that it will yield great results and help save our industry.
Coach Tinashe: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Anesu Isaac Fombe: I see myself as the next Bill Gates of our generation not on monetary terms but on motivational issues. I want to continue motivating and inspiring people to do what they love and continue to be a true source of motivation.
Coach Tinashe: What advice would you give to someone who wants to be an author too like you?
Anesu Isaac Fombe: You don’t need to be Shakespeare to write a book. At the end of the day, you have to go out there and just do your thing. You can’t spend your entire life wondering what it would be like if you went for it. You can’t wait until the perfect moment to get going because it will never arrive. You just have to get started and figure everything out along the way. Prepare yourself for a bit, sure, but then go. Because the greatest risk of all is having stayed in the harbor instead of actually setting sail upon the ocean of possibility.
