AN INTERVIEW BY COACH MALLVINE
Introduce yourself who is Nicole?
Nicole Tapera and commonly known as Nikita; 19years of age.
What do you do?
I am a content creator.
When did you start being passionate about being a Content Creator?
I could say it all started as a diary. How we all girls at some point had a secret diary, well for me secret diaries became a comfort zone. I found it intriguing to design and write something and the smile on someone else’s face at the shock they would get by asking, “wow! You made this?!”. I found it amusing and I kept encouraging myself to produce content.
What led you to start your blog?
I have to say it was never an idea I had originally wanted to implement anytime soon but my sister encouraged me through her blog website. It gave me the inspiration to do it because it was easier for me to do and it was fun.
What is the secret to being a successful content creator?
I always find it amazing how experts answer this question by giving people tutorials and steps on how to write content. Like any other passion one may have, I would encourage you to be yourself. Scribble everything down even when you think it’s irrelevant, it may be of use at the end of the tunnel. Be comfortable with yourself and confident enough with your content instead of looking at trending issues.
What else do you do?
I am a songwriter and an art tutor as well. I am also the Founder of an organization called Christian Innovations Foundation which caters for youths to be themselves while spreading the word of Christ.
Do you get time for yourself?
Honestly? I rarely have time to sit down! I usually get time to myself when I am doing work from home and I am listening to affirmative music or when I am writing my novels.
How do you handle being a content creator, Writer, director of an organization, and student?
I think I always grew up as a multitasker and that has always been my strongest point. But it’s only a matter of your determination and consistency to finish your race because if you don’t, no one else will do it for you. I would encourage time management as a tool for anyone even if you are not as busy, time management through planners helps one keep track of themselves.
Tell us about your organization CIF?
Christian Innovations Foundation (CIF) is a non-profitable youth-influenced Christian organization that seeks to spread the word of God for generations to come and empower the youth as well, it is economically or socially.
What is your word of advice to someone who is to be a blogger, writer, content creator, and even a director of a youth-led organization?
On the blogging part I would say a blog is a place where you should feel free to express yourself, your content does not necessarily have to always been point-blank correct but it should be opinionative, writing like content creation needs input and that can only be genuinely achieved through inspiration and your ability to realize something isn’t good because of quantity but because of quality. As a leader myself especially as a Christian director, not everything is easy, one has to learn to put others first before themselves and realize you have to act upon what you preach, if you can not do it individually, never preach it.
What are some of the challenges you have faced in your life that you would like to share with us?
I would say a past struggle would be my self-confidence. I lacked that in high school, I had an inferiority complex that closed opportunities for me because I didn’t stand up for what I believed in as an individual learn to love yourself before loving another person, it gives you the confidence you need to stick with your gut and excel at what you put your mind to.
What are some of the books you can recommend to our readers?
Any book by T.D Jakes would do.
