How To Succeed Without Being A Genius

Published

on

You already have every characteristic necessary for success if you recognize, claim, develop, and use them. THE SEVEN PRINCIPALS ANYONE CAN USE TO SUCCEED.

HAVE A CLEAR PURPOSE.

Before anyone starts anything in life, a clear distinct purpose has to be present. That purpose or goal will guide your life. In other words, the clear purpose will guide your health, physical habits and your overall behaviour. WHY?, Because your behaviour will certainly interfere with your aspirations. Your behaviour will be guided by that purpose

A GOAL A DAY

Plan a specific thing to do every day. Remember failing to plan is planning to fail. Never wake up early in the morning and ask yourself, “What will l do today”? This means that your friends will certainly try to drive you into their world and they will take you as a person who doesn’t plan. Each night before you sleep, you should know all the activities that you are going to do the following day. If you don’t organise your life someone else will do it for you.

DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE WHEN IT SHOULD BE DONE.

Look at all the geniuses in the world, do they have more hours a day than the rest of us? No, everyone under the earth at the same hours a day. The question then becomes, ARE YOU USING YOUR TIME WISELY? Nothing from the day before should split into the following day. Make sure that what needs to be done on Friday is done on Friday and no other day. If we follow this practise we will never be poisoned by procrastination.Know why you are at a certain place and your purpose there. There are many people who will try to make their business your business and their problems your problems. There should come a time where you step back and tell those friends, NO!!! Discipline yourself to do the things you need to do when you need to do them, and the day will come when you will be able to do the things you want to do when you want to do them\!

PERIODICALLY EVALUATE YOUR WORK.

Periodic evaluation makes you see if the results match what you had planned in your mind. Most people waste valuable time as they continue doing unnecessary activities without evaluating their progress. Evaluation makes you identify the problems and find the necessary solutions.

BE A GOOD TIME MANAGER

Successful people are always punctual for every event. Keeping time is not as important as the event. It is better to be very early for an event that is late and has people wondering where you are. Being on time is a decision and once you make a decision of keeping time, then you start thinking of the possible eventualities which keep you from being on time as being on time creates RELIABILITY in people’s minds.

WRING OR SQUEEZE YOUR BRAIN.

The reason why most people fail in life is because of the absence of principal 6. One might ask what wringing your brain means. Take for instance a washer and a drier. When clothes are taken out of the washer, water is not dripping from them but the clothes are damp and if a very strong man takes the damp clothes and squeezes them, water drips out. Now, what does this mean to a person? Our brain is like the clothes out of the washer. They are damp with greatness but we have to wring or squeeze out that greatness, with hard work and commitment. Most people never take their brains and squeeze out some more greatness, wring your brain. People don’t see the results of their work and live their lives without realizing the heights of excellence to which they can reach, THEREFORE WRING YOUR BRAIN, WRING IT!!

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO IT WITH THY MIGHT

If you take a look at a student’s transcript with a bad grade and ask him why they got a bad grade, the answer is usually, l didn’t like the subject. I tell you, never say that you didn’t like it because the transcript is a direct reflection of your character. Start liking it and do it to the best of your ability .Give it 100% because when you do it with all your might, it becomes less painful and brings jo.

Always remember that character gets you out of bed; commitment moves you to action. Faith, hope, and discipline enable you to follow through to completion .Zig Ziglar

Published

on

He is the man of the moment and he is now the most powerful man in the world. Being the president of the United States of America the world leader in global politics and economics is a privilege that only 45 other men have enjoyed. The incumbent is the oldest president in US history but he is also the most experienced president with 50 years of experience in the political field. Serving in different portfolios from Senate, vice presidency, and various other portfolios.

JOSEPH ROBINETTE BIDEN, Jr, was born November 20, 1942, in Scranton, PA, the first of four siblings. In 1953, at the age of 13 Biden family moved from Pennsylvania to Claymont, DE. He grew up suffering from speech impairment and other kids mocked him for that, however, he overcame his challenge by memorizing and reciting poems practicing them in front of the mirror. Joe attended St Helena High School until being admitted into the Archemere Academy a highly-rated educational institution. In some instances, Joe had to clean the windows of the school and weeding the school gardens so that he could help his family with the school tuition. As an American football player, Joe was described by his former coach as one of the good pass receivers he has coached in 2 decades despite his skinny stature. In 1961 Joe graduated from the Archmere Academy and proceeded to the University of Delaware.

He then graduated from the University of Delaware before getting his law degree at Syracuse Law School in 1968. In 1970 he was elected as a Councilor at New Castle County Council. Then, at age 29, he became the youngest person ever elected to the U.S. Senate at that time. Just weeks after the election, tragedy struck the Biden family when Joe Biden’s wife, Neilia, and their 1-year-old daughter, Naomi, were killed and their two young sons critically injured in an auto accident. Joe Biden was sworn into the U.S. Senate at his sons’ hospital bedsides and began commuting to Washington every day by train, a practice he maintained throughout his career in the Senate.

In 1977, Joe Biden married Jill Jacobs. Jill Biden, who holds a Ph.D. in education, is a lifelong educator. As a Senator from Delaware for 36 years, Joe Biden established himself as a leader in facing some of the US’s most important domestic and international challenges. As chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee for 17 years, then-Senator Biden was widely recognized for his work on criminal justice issues, including the landmark 1994 crime law and the Violence Against Women Act. As chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for 12 years, he played a critical role in shaping U.S. foreign policy. He has been at the forefront of issues and legislation related to terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, post-cold war Europe, the Middle East, and Southwest Asia.

As the 46th Vice President of the United States, serving under Barrack Obama. Joe Biden continued his leadership on important issues that the US faced. Joe Biden was tasked with implementing and overseeing the $840 billion stimulus package in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which helped to rebuild the US economy and lay the foundation for a sustainable economic future. Joe Biden drew upon his years in the U.S. Senate to work with Congress on key issues including the 2013 reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. As a longtime advocate against sexual assault and domestic violence. Joe Biden was appointed the first-ever White House Advisor on Violence Against Women. Joe Biden was also tasked with convening sessions of the President’s Cabinet and leading interagency efforts, particularly to reduce gun violence and raise the living standards of middle-class Americans in his role as chair of the Middle-Class Task Force.

Joe Biden advised President Obama on international issues. The 46th President of the United States of America was a leading architect of the U.S. strategic vision of a Europe whole, free, and at peace. During his time in the Senate, he led the effort to enlarge NATO to include the former Warsaw Pact countries of Eastern and Central Europe after the collapse of the Iron Curtain. In February 2015 Biden laid out a vision for how to revitalize NATO, strengthen democratic institutions in Europe, prioritize investments to bolster energy security, and grow trade and investment ties across the Atlantic. He led the administration’s effort to support a sovereign, democratic Ukraine, visiting the country three times in 2014. In the Middle East, the new US President was deeply involved in shaping U.S. policy toward Iraq, visiting the country several times. He met with the leaders from around the Middle East and championed Israel’s security.

The new President also played an active role in supporting the administrations rebalance to the Asia-Pacific. He developed deep relationships with the region’s leaders, demonstrating U.S. commitment to a high level, face-to-face diplomacy. Vice President Biden was the administration’s point person for diplomacy within the Western Hemisphere. He worked to realize his vision of a hemisphere that is ‘‘middle class, secure, and democratic, from Canada to Chile and everywhere in between.’’ In this capacity, the Vice President led the administration’s regional efforts to address economic, social, governance, and citizen security challenges. Joe Biden represented the US in every region of the world, traveling to more than two dozen countries including Afghanistan, Belgium, Brazil, China, Colombia, Egypt, Germany, Guatemala, Israel, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, Pakistan, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, and Ukraine.

After serving with distinction under the 44th President of the United States of America former President Barack Obama, Joe Biden was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2017. In April 2019 Joe Biden officially announced his candidacy and ambition to serve as the president of the United States of America. By June 2019 he had secured the threshold needed to secure a nomination. He launched a robust campaign that was highlighted by inclusiveness, tolerance, and acceptance regardless of race, religion, and culture. He appointed Kamala Harris as his running mate in August 2020 and Kamala a woman of color and with an Indian background, Joe proved to be a person who believes in inclusivity and tolerance. After a highly heated campaign with his competitor Donald J Trump, Joe Biden won the United States of America election on the 8th of November. He secured the required college votes and he received the highest ever popular vote than any other president in US history. Despite the Corona Virus pandemic he managed to triumph over Donald J Trump and the 20th of January will remain as a day that the world saw another man who came from humble beginnings be inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States of America.

From weeding gardens to supplement his tuition to the oval, waiting for his time for over 5 decades serving as vice president to Obama a person 20 years younger than him. Joe Ruminate Biden Jr has waited for so long to realize his dream, despite his shortcomings like any other human he has shown us what a life of service means and he has arrived at the helm of the highest office in world politics. His experience will go a long way in shaping the trajectory of world politics in the coming four years.

UZ Student Wins the Lighter Competition.

Published

A university student by the name of Aluwaine Manyonga was graced at Lux Award as the winner of the Society of Light and Lighting Young Lighter of the Year for 2020.  Aluwaine Manyonga is a fourth-year electrical engineering undergraduate at the University of Zimbabwe who works with Emmanuel Consulting Engineers in Harare, Zimbabwe.

For the first time, the SLL Young Lighter final was held online with all four finalists delivering their presentations virtually to an international audience. Manyonga delivered his presentation, Offgrid Solar Lighting, and Chigubhu Lantern, Africa’s Education System Game Changer, during the 2020 LuxLive Digital Festival.

The factors that led to his win are that his proposal not only supports the introduction of solar-powered lighting systems but seeks to tackle plastic and electronic waste through the re-use with the ingenious Chigubhu (Chigubhu is a Shona word for plastic container or water bottle) Lantern. His presentation outlines the resources required, set up, and ongoing maintenance with a methodical and informed approach.

Manyonga’s projects seek to utilize competitive pricing of solar-powered solutions, developing a clean and reliable light source to positively impact the education system. The advantage of the project is that the ingenious Chigubhu Lantern uses plastic waste to create low-cost housing for solar-power LED luminaires.

Looking at the concepts stated above and more he presented, the judges were all very impressed by the social value of Aluwaine’s project. “We thought he showed immense initiatives, as well as technical know-how, using limited resources to create something that will improve the lives of a huge number of people in areas with insecure electricity networks. Aluwaine’s work reminds us of how lighting can make the world a better place.” This was a window of Aluwaine’s success and winning the competition as it revealed young talent.

TEAMWORK: A NEW DAWN ON US?

Published

on

When it is dusk, there is no hope for light.  The time for illumination is longer and thus there are just reveries and the darkness.  Darkness, diabolic thoughts, slumber, henchmen and guzzling little Judases of course; betrayal and giving u.

But when l talk about new dawn upon us, a future, a beehive of activity, dodging within the webs and lanes of focus and a bright future.  Most people have dreams in their youth that get shattered or worn down with age. They find themselves disappointed by people, events, reality, which cannot match their youthful ideals. And we are the youth and we have our own dreams; the time is now.  We still have hope, faith and it is most probable for us to propel on the issue of probability which is deliberately one.

Focus and hard work are the props of every successful person and education is the bulwark of all that.  Our dreams are not parked in a metallic, luxurious car, for example, a Rolls Royce Phantom, in front of a dilapidated mud hut. (laugh)For all the toil, we can’t do something sub-standard. Great giants are better left off to their slumber. (laugh)  But not for us, we are giants but not for slumber.  We will fight the problems in our dreams and hindrances with a sling is the problems come like birds.

Daily life is harsh, and most of us constantly seek escape from it in fantasies and dreams. Stars feed on this weakness; standing out from others through a distinctive and appealing style, they make us want to watch them. At the same time, they are vague and ethereal, keeping their distance, and letting us imagine more than is there. Their dreamlike quality works on our unconscious. Learn to become an object of fascination by projecting the glittering but elusive presence of the Star.

An isolated person is weak.  Let’s work together as a team. A team has one goal to achieve; that is a success.  We are a team; hence one.  A team does not go about destroying property and doing all sorts of felonious chores.  We are not a team of bandits; we are a team of success.  Vandalism is not a success, it is a drawback, a delay, and irresponsibility.  Successful people are responsible and are focused citizens towards one goal.  Which is?  Success.

Let us storm off like a soldier who heard that the war is over and the battlefield had become history, a deserted place. Let’s leave our past life; the dusk.  A new dawn on us.

THANK YOU
